Synopsis of Negative Worlds



A group of friends start a reading group and go in search of another world to believe in and hope for. It leads them into clubs, onto rooftops full of flowers, into campus, and through the ruins of the industrial revolution. Then that longed-for future comes calling. After the centre of their neighbourhood is destroyed, they try to recover via a big night out, which ends up projecting them into the world of 2190. Now everyone must find and follow their own mission for ‘the Co-Creation’, a loose global coalition of assemblies and communes. The missions take them through future versions of Shanghai, Paris, Newcastle and the floating city of Takara V. Eventually, they return one by one to the present, facing up to how these dreams and visions could become true.
